  1. Prasanna Kumar D., Chairman, PDC of ICAI and Vice-Chairman, Committee on Public and Government Financial Management.
  • He is a Bachelor of Zoology from Loyola College, Chennai and M.A. (Sociology) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He became Member of the Institute in the year 1984.
  • He has been occupying several positions in the affairs of the Institute right from SICASA, Branch, Region and Central Council.
  • During his student days in the CA Course, he was the Secretary and Vice-Chairman of the Southern India Chartered Accountants Students’ Association, Chennai in the early 80s and made significant contribution to the students’ fraternity.
  • He served in Visakhapatnam Branch as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Branch during the years 1998-2002.
  • He was a Member of the Southern India Regional Council from the year 2007 to 2016. He was Chairman of Southern India Regional Council during the year 2013-14. He has been elected as Central Council Member for the period 2019-22.
  • He spoke in many Seminars and Conferences organised by ICAI on Bank Audit, Company Law, Ethical Standards, Industrial Policies and Budget analysis.
  • He is a keen follower of Sports.  CA. D. Prasanna Kumar himself is a Volleyball player.  He held numerous positions in the sports field.

  • General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Triathlon Association
  • Vice President, Roller Skating Federation of India
  • Associate Vice President, Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association
  • He was Treasurer and Coordinator for 4th Asian Youth Volleyball Championship and 13th World Under19 Volleyball Championship and was Manager of Indian Volleyball team to Qatar.
  • His wife is a homemaker and a Sports Woman in her college days. His daughter a MS (Electronics) from New York University and working for a multinational Company at Hyderabad. His son and Daughter in Law are Chartered Accountants practicing along with him.
